Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and chopped pecans.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares to serve.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for an extra special kick.
