  • 2 cups sweetened whipped cream Preferably homemade for best flavor
  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • As desired chocolate shavings or sprinkles For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a glass or dessert cup, start by adding a layer of chocolate mousse at the bottom.
  2. Follow with a layer of whipped cream, then sprinkle a layer of chocolate cookie crumbs on top.
  3. Repeat the layers until the cups are full, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  4. Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge covered for no more than 1-2 days to prevent sogginess. You can layer the parfait the night before to allow flavors to meld together.
