- In a heat-proof mug, combine the spiced rum, unsalted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Stir until the butter and sugar are well blended for a smooth mix.
- Top with hot water and stir again until it’s all combined.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy by the fire!
Notes
For a vegan version, swap the butter with vegan margarine. You can also create a non-alcoholic version using apple cider.
