Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a deep fryer.
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the creamy cheese mixture.
Cooking
- If baking, place filled jalapeños on a baking sheet, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- If frying, coat in breadcrumbs, then fry until golden brown and crispy.
