Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- In a skillet, cook the onion and garlic until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Remove from heat and stir in half of the cheese.
- Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper.
Baking
- Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven until warm and bubbly. For extra heat, consider adding red pepper flakes or jalapeños.
